3 daysGoddamn imagine how stupid you’d have to be to be a conservative.
Like, less cognitive function than at least half of the species in the animal kingdom.
I trust my sock more than I’d ever trust a conservative. At least socks aren’t violently stupid.

But, as a conservative, you get to be outraged by things like led light bulbs, bans on plastic grocery bags and having to see electric vehicles everywhere. And it’s a very sweet, pure, hateful outrage from making you do without some “beloved” everyday objects while being forced to contend with technology that “makes the air cleaner.” Doesn’t the wind do that? And don’t get me started on having to drag handfuls of reusable bags to the grocery store because of some environmental crap! Why it’s a bunch of woke, pronoun, LGBTQ, nonsense I tell you and I’m not having it.

People who associate with conservative politics have all the savoire faire of an aborted fetus climbing out of a dumpster on prom night. They can’t be trusted with the keys to the city.

Not that it’ll ever actually happen but it’s hilarious to specifically give money to the generation least affected by the modern economy. Cheap real estate, tax law changes disproportionately benefitting them, and now cheaper (lol, barely) healthcare. Why not. Boomers are the last generation who deserve anything anyway

This is like, the third or fourth check this turd has promised and hasn’t paid. But surely THIS time will be different!

It’s way more than that. He was taken to court over 10,000 times for not paying contractors, an average of once per week.
Even if we limit it to his actions as president, he still stiffs contractors regularly. He “defunded” all sorts of jobs retroactively. Cuts programs he promised to expand. You have to really narrow down the definition a lot to get it to just 3 or 4.

You are absolutely correct. I mean like, the three or four he has offered the American public this year lmao.

2 daysYou guys are going to feel so dumb when I get my $17k worth of checks he’s promised.
It’s probably just taking so long because he doesn’t use an auto pen

The billionaire class is trolling us. $100??? They know the average American is hurting and even $100 sounds good.
Fucking pathetic.

Promises $100 in the post to make up for rising costs…
According to a White House fact sheet, the administration planned to begin issuing one-time $90 payments to more than 20 million Medicare Part B enrollees in early October.
Meanwhile, the standard Medicare Part B premium had risen to $202.90 per month in 2026.
Actual plan is $90 and a single premium is over $200…
Less than half the cost of a single visit

The $202.90 figure is the monthly cost for the plan, not the copay for the plan.

to help cover Medicare Part B premiums
Oh good, throw more money at America’s failing healthcare system. That’ll solve it
I’m sure the checks are on the way soon as they “win” the midterms.

So a combination of bribery for votes and a pathetically small amount? $100 isn’t even a half cart of groceries anymore in the US.
- kboos1@lemmy.worldEnglish3 days
That will make all the difference to those that are one generation from $1 equaling $100 to now $100 equaling $1. Thanks Dump, you’ve saved us all and take my vote.

3 daysI mean, it’s right before midterms. My understanding is that handing out small items to voters right before elections is a practice used in a number of countries.
