Pinky literally accomplished the goal when he begged Brain for a shot to come up with a plan. That is, until Brain convinced him he should “help”. Pinky is the actual genius, Brain is just convincing in his bullshit.

IIRC Pinky is actually helluh smart and pragmatic, just that Brain always get’s him down.
Back when Animaniacs and the Pinky and the Brain spin-off were first airing there was a fan theory going around that Pinky was actually the super genius mouse and Brain was the moron. I remember feeling that this theory had a lot of merit at the time, but it’s been so long since I’ve seen the show I don’t know if I can confidently say to what extent it holds up. If I ever get around to rewatching it, I’m definitely going to be watching through that lense though.

It’s supported by the show itself. Brain’s plans always fail. The one time Pinky was given a chance, he would have succeeded had the Brain not intervened.

Hey, on the episode “Pinky’s Turn”, Pinky actually did quite well. Not so sure about using Fruit Wiggles as currency, but that’s pretty tame compared to what the current clowns are doing.
I don’t see how anything Brain could do at this point that would be worse than what’s already happening.
