It’s insane to me that someone works for their money and uses it for public good comes under infinitely more scrutiny than leeches with billions spending hundreds of millions to avoid paying fair taxes to PREVENT public good.

It’s insane for me how people are seriously inept to see some nuance. Only fans as a platform makes it money from exploiting young people (mostly girls). Pornography (essentially legal prostitution) as a whole harms a lot of the population’s perception of sexual activity and sexual desires, alongside creating a pyramid of systematic exploitation of young women. It’s the ultimate liberal slop that has been normalized because these people are working for their money!
Anyways, it’s not about her, but about how she could not find any other outlet to collect money to build that school. She is a brave soul, but that doesn’t make this story less sad.

It is but a consequence of the failure of the Philippine government to try provide the unprivileged their basic needs, especially education, food security, and medical treatment, what with taxpayers’ money being siphoned by politicians and subcontractors for things like Italian sports cars, two week vacations to Europe, and obnoxiously huge birthday parties.
So instead private citizens end up having to make philanthropic gestures to schools and hospitals.

The linked comments are mostly shitting on billionaires for not doing this.
No one is complaining she built a school, they’re complaining the actual wealthy won’t do shit like this of their own accord despite having way more money. The implication being: billionaires shouldn’t have a billion dollars.
