the larger overarching joke here is that in the original Metroid everyone just assumed that Samus was male and the reveal at the end of the game was a huge deal back in 86.’ Samus is even referenced as “him” in the games manual.

Can’t remember which one it was, but I remember a rumor when I was young, horny boy, that if you completed the game within a certain time she would be revealed naked. I tried so hard to get to that time point, but never could.
