Jucika and the apricot

As always, stay tuned here on !comicstrips@lemmy.world for a slow trickle out of Jucika comics, but if you want to find more, here’s a good post with a large collection that /u/JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social posted last year: https://piefed.social/post/1258520

I’ll say one thing… These strips are not getting any less racy with time.

The funny thing is that I’m skipping a lot because otherwise by pure chance I’d be posting a dozen racy ones in a row. The artist clearly liked to do fan-service.

I went to college with someone who would eat an orange in the shower every morning for the same reason

Shower oranges are the bomb, you can go completely ham on that thang without having to worry about the mess, it’s great!

Ummm… Correct me if I’m wrong, but AFAIK őszibarack is peach. Sárgabarack is apricot.

Proof: you don’t need a shower cabin for apricots, however, peaches are in the same category with (tejfölös) lángos. That’s why it’s a typical food on the beach/lakeside. You’re almost naked already, damage minimised.

I’m guessing she’d rather be naked to eat and just get messy from all the fruit juices without messing up her clothes?

If I were an apricot farmer, this would be my advertisement.

Like me, Jucika is messy when it comes to eating ripe fruit. She requests a privacy screen from the waiter so that she can eat in the nude and not get her clothing dirty.

I think those are very juicy apricots, so she’s asking for screens, so she can… have an apricot shower in the middle of the restaurant?

Yeah, that one seems like a stretch.

I suppose it is slightly different: they are juicy indeed and she doesn’t want to soil her clothes with sticky sugary juice.

And also eating ripe peaches is extremely erotic.

Lets not do Jucika a disservice and inject the modern, much more regressive and repressive sexual identities that seems to have cropped up, especially among the nominal left. Jucika was explicitly a sex positivist and the eroticism is the message as much as it is about not getting your clothes messy.

It would be a huge disservice to Jucika to inject the wack-a-doodle anti-sexualism some of those on the nominal left have adopted into their politics. Its certainly not a politics I subscribe to: I’m with Jucika; when eating a peach its important to both do it in an incredibly erotic way, and to not get our clothes messy.

It was really just an excuse for her to get naked, both in-universe and out.

The fruits all find their roots in China in prehistory, so depending on where when they made it to a region and the particulars of the linguistic groups of the time. Its like how limes and lemons weren’t always distinguished in all cultures.

My grandma had a crystal chandelier that had such sticks with special mini bulbs you could set to flicker like actual candles. That’s why the hat isn’t burning. An upscale restaurant in the 60s-70s would’ve likely had such a setup.
