Liberals in here really love purity testing Hasan, huh.
I’m just glad we finally have people in the mainstream acknowledging that Zionism is racist after so many years of so much bullshit claims about how criticizing the government of Israel is somehow antisemitic.
- 12 hours
Me too. But the past week in r/UKGreens and r/UKpolitics has been a goddamn nightmare. They’re out there celebrating that Polanski is less popular than Nigel Farage
- 11 hours
Reddit is flooded with Zionist bots it is not a serious platform.
- 7 hours
I hope you’re right, but I feel sometimes that it’s a more accurate mirror of society
- 6 hours
It kind of is, since most of society is brainwashed in similar ways by right wing media which tells them what to think. Most people think what they are told to think.
- 12 hours
Given what the Brits did to Corbyn for just saying Palestinians have rights, I can’t say I’m surprised. At least there’s a voice speaking the truth in an ocean of bullshit.
- 11 hours
I think what weirds me out about this guy is that a he only seems to exist in the podcast/YouTube/social media sphere.
I read a whole lot of news, but avoid YouTube/podcasts in general, and outside of Lemmy I’ve literally never fucking heard of him.
When I do, it’s always in threads like this one, in which everyone seems to have an opinion about him one way or the other, and anyone who disagrees is a shill/Zionist/tankie/agitprop.
I’ve yet to see a take of his that I disagree with, and I’m not assuming any nefarious intent on his part, but I’m a little weirded out by anyone who has that strong of an opinion of him one way or the other. He’s not a politician or running for office, he’s just an internet personality.
If he’s saying things I agree with (which he is), that’s all I really care about, I’m just not a fan of his chosen platforms and find the debate around him off-putting.
- 42 minutes
He is a mega celebrity on Fox News and Daily Wire and stuff, the hate-o-sphere gives him the most coverage.
Wonder which of his haters/stalkers put together that wonderful page.
- 11 hours
he’s just an internet personality.
He’s got a double major in Political Science and Communications from Rutgers if that makes you feel any better about agreeing with his takes. He’s also fundraised for many charities including CARE International and several prominent Palestinian charities. And then on top of that, he’s successfully campaigned with many leftist political candidates including Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed.
Honestly he’s the same as any other political commentator out there except that he’s being brutally honest about some topics that no one has been honest about for a long time. It’s refreshing to see these views said out loud and have so many people agree with them. The more they platform Piker in order to show how “crazy” he is, the more people hear his messaging and agree with him.

Notion makes perfect sense - we solve the conflict by displacing all jews in the area - after all they Stole the Land . after that we displace all Muslim arabs since they Stole the Land Form Christians before that
- 8 hours
Arabs did not displace Christians they got to keep living there. Only their governance changed. That is why some of the worlds oldest Churches were in Gaza until Israel destroyed them.
Your stupid all-sides narrative falls apart very quickly when you know history.
- 6 hours
Ah yes - i am sure the conquering arabs die not steal any Land - if the locals Wege not displaced over time: why are those countries now majority arab and not syriac vor aramaic ?

You should look up the difference between conquest and genocide before typing your next comment

OK - given the point of op is that an Israeli state shoulder not exist (since Zionism is just the political believe that there is an Israeli state in the levant) what will happen to the millions of jews currently living in the area ?
- 4 hours
Believe it or not, it is possible to live in a state that isn’t an ethnostate based around your race. I’d imagine that what will happen to them is the same thing as happens to the rest of us not living in an ethnostate. They will either learn to coexist with other ethnicities, or, if they don’t like the policies that the majority democratically enacts, they may decide to move.
“What will happen to men if we give women the vote?”

Interesting that weird commenters need to make this about Hasan Piker instead of the actually important matter being discussed.
It’s almost like they have a problem with using honest language to describe Zionism 🤔
Found the guy downvoting everyone. :)
I don’t have a problem with what he’s saying here, but I don’t care to hear it from him and as you can see from the responses, it’s not a good look. People want to follow people politically that they think are good people.
- 17 hours
You cannot attack the message so you have to attack the messenger. Conveniently when he speaks out against Zionism.
The classic Zionist tactic.
- 7 hours
I haven’t, that’s why I’m asking. I don’t have a problem with his politics, I agree with what I’ve seen, but I personally don’t like him because of what I’ve seen him do. Last night after the flurry of posts here, I went and went down the rabbit hole. I believe he did it and it gives me the ick. I also believe he’s being defended just because he’s a popular youtuber.
I’m done with this dog issue, and the ball of people defending things they shouldn’t.

Hasan isn’t a bad person. You are falling for propaganda by Dan Saltman and Destiny, who are sex pests and genocide deniers
- kkj@lemmy.dbzer0.comEnglish19 hours
Is Saltman a sex pest? I know he’s a genocide denier and Epstiny is both, but I hadn’t heard of Saltman being a sex pest.
- 12 hours
Nah not a sex pest, he limits his crimes to stalking and harassing. He lets Destiny and Ethan Klein get all the sex pest crimes.
- 13 hours
He abuses his dog and is the king of fake progressivism. He is a left wing grifter and Id be weary of his declarations.
- 12 hours
Wary is the word you’re looking for, not weary.
Again, the smear campaign that he shocks his dog is from the likes of Ethan “pedo_troll” Klein and Dan Saltman, a man who literally uses stalking and harassment to intimidate his victims.
It’s not a good look to be showing you listen to those two bozos.
- 12 hours
??? Nah I watched him shock his dog on camera, I have no idea who those guys are. He’s a nepo baby millionaire no different then tucker Carlson. He doesn’t display a single modicum of humility. If you’re defending this demagogue, go right ahead.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That’s how I know you’re lying. Ciao!
- 23 hours
He needs to make this go away any way he can or it will continue to cause wedge issues.
- 24 hours
Lol. Confidently incorrect. I’m not a guy and my instance has downvotes disabled. I couldn’t even downvote you even if I cared enough to do so. Maybe more people other than myself disagree with your bad takes.
If you’re choosing to focus on Hasan having a correct opinion that is concordant with his beliefs, then you’re choosing to center Hasan instead of the message, when the message is much more important.
Most reasonable people find that behavior to be suspect, particularly when the issue at hand is about a genocidal ideology and you’re choosing to focus on inconsequential online discourse about the person that is calling for action against it.
- 23 hours
This is a progressive sub so I would guess everyone’s already on the same page WRT his message, but if the message is truely important then it should be our best foot being put forward to spread it, and I don’t see him being the best foot with this wedge issue lingering. it is what it is.
- 22 hours
Why isn’t he the best foot? Because of the right-wing propaganda? Then who? Whoever you choose, and before you name them, are you aware that, if that person ever becomes the center of the spotlight, they too will be smeared endlessly like Hasan currently is, right? You will NEVER find someone perfect, and if you do, they will lie about them. And then there will be people talking exactly like you are about Hasan right now, but about your favorite guy.
So, what’s your point here? Your goal? To weaken us, to distract? Or are you genuine? Because all you are doing is keeping the loop alive with this attitude. I’ve seen it since always. You will never have “someone who is the right foot to spread the message”, never. It’s all of us, including you. We all have to do our part, do not be as lazy as a religious person, who lazily neglects the pain of the innocent by simply “praying for them” in the comfort of their bedroom with the air conditioner on. You better learn how to embrace human flaws and turn them into something constructive, or keep wasting our time. It’s up to you.
It was thanks to Hasan that I, a random Mexican, still has hope for the “good” half of the USA. If it wasn’t for him, I’d be killing Americans right now by funding the production of fentanyl. All I have to do is buy my weed from a certain cartel and convince my friends to do the same, but I didn’t do it, because of him. It was him the only political influencer online that proved me Americans still got a chance and deserve to be saved. MAGAs are everywhere, including my country. Right-wing and fascism is not exclusive there.
We are all victims of our governments which sadistic crybullies and psychopaths from the Jeffrey Epstein class, who feel dopamine and serotonin when they kill/abuse/exploit/rape/control someone innocent or cause harm to others, have taken ahold of with ease because we are not like them, we don’t kill for power. That’s it. We just need the courage to remove them by force, put them in jail.
Do not make it easier for them, by keeping us “searching for Hercules” or whatever. Hasan is one of the greatest people in the frontline progressives and humanists have right now, and to deny that is to admit you’re malleable and easy to corrupt and manipulate. I’ve done my homework of learning your language to communicate what we are going through, here in Mexico, the Iron River, we need to destroy it asap, but Americans won’t let us. I have spent years watching multiple content creators, articles and news channels from the USA to listen to all the positions, and I am heavily disgusted by MAGA, and disappointed at the rest. Hasan has been the only one that shows the most humanist values, which are the ones I care the most about, idgaf about patriotism or nationalism, that shit is for the neanderthals, I care about the potential of humanity that has been taken away by the most greedy in the world. Your loyalty should not belong to your country or a religion or a political party, it should belong to humanity; hell and heaven are what we make of this planet to be, so, stop wasting our time with this pointless search, because we need action now, we are losing over 30,000+ innocent people every year to gun violence; guns we didn’t even make.
- 21 hours
The right wing is the target audience! That’s the whole point. You can’t even get to the sales pitch if you can’t get your foot in their door.
Try posting this in a right wing sub and see what happens, and why. See if you can even get them to the message.
My goal this year is to vote in the midterms and to try and get at least two people I know to change their votes. I can’t mention this guy because I’ll just get shut down and nothing is gained.
We don’t need PERFECT but we do need a guy who hasn’t been accused with zapping his dog with no way for me to refute it, I can’t sell that to my two people before the midterms I’ll just get a door slammed on the sales pitch. He really needs to make this go away any way he can.
- Katana314@lemmy.worldEnglish11 hours
MAGA are not conscious beings. They’re not anyone’s target. Undecided/apathetic voters are, and you’re again assuming true some bullshit smear campaign, something that will arise for any figure that makes positive statements. Just like Hillary ran a rape pizzeria, just like Abdul protected criminal immigrants.
- 11 hours
The right wing are never the target audience. They will never see reason. If they are truly centrist then they will vote for their interests. But in order to do that they have to be informed. In order to be informed, there has to be someone to inform them. Whoever that is is going to be attacked by the establishment who doesn’t want an informed populace. The only people that won’t be attacked are the people that want the status quo maintained and corporate interests protected.
- 7 hours
I consider the right wing in this context anyone who could vote right. I have a hard time labeling someone who is scratching their head over the options today “centrist” or “independent”
- 12 hours
Whataboutism.
Also what he said was 100% correct, and it’s no more “Han supremacist” than the Union ending slavery in the Confederacy was “Northern supremacist.” The analogy is on point. Slave states don’t have the right to exist.
Walters, Fern@bookwyr.meEnglish
5 hoursYet slavery exists, in both, China, and US.
Do you think private prisons are for rehabilitation?- 4 hours
Hopefully, we will someday reach the point where prison slavery is automatically delegitimizing the way we have with chattel slavery and serfdom. But are you really trying to say that those are equally bad? Do you think the Civil War was pointless, then? Was the South justified in fighting back since the North hadn’t abolished prisons?
Also, China doesn’t have private prisons.

And the South will rise again! Free the Confederacy! Amirite?
Cry more about this ending, along with your favorite feudal theocracy:

Stand up! Those who are unwilling to become slaves!

Did he say “Han supremacy is okay”, or did he say that Tibet was historically a feudalist society with a cast system and slavery?
- chloroken@lemmy.mlEnglish12 hours
Tibet wasn’t colonized, its people were liberated. The people of Tibet were not “homogenized” as they still practice their language and customs. You know history only through the lens of imperialism, and it shows.
Walters, Fern@bookwyr.meEnglish
4 hoursNow I want to learn how you liberate a group of people without colonist intentions. Show me anticolonial historical liberations.
- Gates9@sh.itjust.worksEnglish9 hours
I think it’s probably a little from column “A” and a little from column “B”…China did invade and annex Tibet against the will of the inhabitants, and it’s pretty messed up that China is controlling the appointment of the high level Lama’s, and they’re probably disappearing dissidents in typical fashion…but “Han Supremacy” is clearly employed as an inflammatory and divisive term, and it’s probably an overstatement for what has actually gone on.

Thanks for reminding me of this thread. There is far to much glaze of this bootlicker so I’ll just add that hes a genocide supporter who only views humans as tools to extract resources and build power for the state. His facade of “caring about human rights” only exists if he can use it as a weapon to attack undermine the left.
Oh and he is a self admitted rapist who attended multiple diddy parties.

23 hoursSo you know nothing. Let’s talk about Zionism being correctly defined as racism. Do you agree?
- kkj@lemmy.dbzer0.comEnglish19 hours
To expand on this, the guy who started the campaign admitted it. He got the idea from Ethan Klein allegedly contributing to his dog’s death by feeding it cheese. People got really mad at Klein for that, so Dan Saltman decided to lie about Hasan Piker hurting his dog as well.
- 13 hours
It’s a relief to know some Lemmings are aware of Dan Saltman’s role in all of this.

23 hoursWhat makes Hasan, a political commentator and human rights advocate, a toxic shitbag?
- 23 hours
His advocacy for traditional masculinity, his toxic treatment of his own fanbase any time they say something he doesn’t like, etc. There are better mouthpieces for leftist ideology, who deserve a chance way way more than Hasan.

There are better mouthpieces for leftist ideology, who deserve a chance way way more than Hasan.
Like who?
- 11 hours
They won’t have an answer. Its the same dnc/aipac talking points. It’s either use lies or attack someone’s lack of perfection.
- 6 hours
It’s not a lack of perfection I’m concerned about, but rather a presence of disqualifying behaviors. There’s a big difference between a flawed person, and a person whose flaws make them specifically unfit for the social role they’re seeking to occupy.
- 12 hours
What, like you can’t think of any to suggest? I’m not playing this game with you. Maybe we stop idolizing rockstar personalities and start being politically competent for ourselves. Crazy idea I know.
- 6 hours
Sarah is likely a bot. They all follow this pattern:
- Say something provocative.
- Wait for responses and incite more confusion and anger (intensify the trolling)
- When someone asks for evidence or sources, say something like “do your own research”, “google is easy to use”, “I’m not your teacher”, “I’m not playing games with you”
They have nothing to say but they keep talking out their ass. Anyone that learned how to write a persuasive essay in 6the grade can form a better argument. I guess education in blue states is better though so not all Americans are literate.
- 6 hours
How dare I say something as provocative as people who promote traditional masculinity have no business speaking on behalf of the left. I must be a bot to have such a hot take!
Christ, get over yourself.
- 10 hours
Are you trolling? How can you say, “There are better mouthpieces” and then immediately be unable to name a single one??
I see two possibilities. One is that you would hold every leftist mouthpiece to an unreasonable standard that no one actually meets. The other is that you follow some other streamer or personality, but you know that if you name them then they’d be subject to critique. Most likely, the person you have in mind is a Zionist and you know they’d be called out as such (which would expose your real problem with Hasan) so you just evade the question instead.
What other possibility even is there?
- 9 hours
Yes, what possibility could possibly exist beyond the false dichotomy you’ve provided.
Let’s just get rid of the games. I’m not getting into my personal choice because you’re not here saying “yeah Hasan is a piece of shit, but we need him.” You don’t agree that he needs to go to begin with. What confidence should I have that your judgement is sound, based on that? What kind of swine are you, demanding to see my pearl?
So again, no I will not play this game. You get blocked too. Learn how to have a good faith argument.
- 9 hours
Lmao, saying “Like who?” in response to “There are better mouthpieces” is not “bad faith,” nor is it a “game.” It’s a basic fucking question.
Cry more, coward. I definitely hit the nail on the head that you’re an embarrassed Zionist. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re a MAGA troll account just trying to shit on anyone on the left.
Yes, what possibility could possibly exist beyond the false dichotomy you’ve provided.
I like how you say that sarcastically but you don’t actually answer it.
- 9 hours
The only thing I’ve ever seen you say on this topic is complaints about how Hasan speaks to the chatter on his stream. That’s it.
If you can’t accurately identify your grievances with what Piker is saying, you’re being a mouthpiece for the fascists.
- 11 hours
I wasn’t the one to claim there are better mouthpieces for leftist ideology that “deserve” a chance more than Hasan.
The only reason Piker is getting the attention he is right now is because he’s been consistent in his views and he’s been consistent about them for a long fucking time, way before Oct 7th. People are listening and that is scaring establishment Dems and Republicans alike. He’s earned the trust of his viewers and they are working for these candidates - they’re calling, they’re door knocking, they’re getting out there and getting the messaging out.
Who else is doing that in your opinion?
- 11 hours
How many times do I have to say this? I do not care how much good he does or how consistent his views are. He’s a toxic shitbag worming his way into political power and y’all are out here going to bat for him. You put it up to me to suggest someone else and I could name at least one, but that’s missing the point. There shouldn’t have to be a someone else for you to reject Hasan. He should be rejected on his own (de)merits and not on the basis of his replaceability. If we can’t get shit done without making the same mistakes the bad guys keep making, we’re just going to wind up laying the foundation for the next empire in need of overthrowing.
And that, as they say, is that. Have a nice day.
- 11 hours
You put it up to me to suggest someone else and I could name at least one, but that’s missing the point. There shouldn’t have to be a someone else for you to reject Hasan.
It’s your point that you made. How is it missing the point?
I’m not going to reject Hasan without some serious evidence of wrong-doing. Simply disliking how he speaks isn’t enough to convince me and it shouldn’t be enough to convince anyone else to not listen to one of the strongest voices on the left that is actually helping push people to vote and be active in their political scene.
- 21 hours
He has a large trans fan base and is a staunch advocate for trans rights in spite of looking the part of a meathead. He’s pretty respectful about disagreements that aren’t disgusting in nature (racism, homophibia, etc). I think you probably just have a clipped caracature in your mind that likely doesn’t match well with reality.
- 20 hours
I don’t care what other things he’s doing that might be good. Other people are also doing good things while not doing the bad things. The image of him I have in my mind was formed by just watching his videos and seeing the way he behaves. I’m tired of his fans coming around to talk the same boring meaningless shit and gaslight me every time I say anything bad about their golden boy. I’m going to just start blocking you all on sight.

Considering that the first of your two complaints was entirely incorrect, it sounds like your entire complaint is that he yells at Twitch chat a lot.
