I mean I’m not a fan of Ai but that kinda makes sense to prevent expensive loops. An example being I know Google gemini has(and has had for several versions) a bug where it can get stuck repeatedly reading a file. I saw a video from a YouTuber which got stuck in this loop, it cost him 183 dollars in 40 minutes. What if he started it and then went home on a Friday evening? I just did a quick calculation based on it running 5pm Friday till 9am Monday and it would cost $17, 568 setting a limit to prevent this type of issue makes sense. Fun fact, by random chance there’s exactly 96 intervals of 40 minutes over that time frame.
