I moved from Proxmox on my trio of home servers to NixOS a year ago and loved it so much i switched my 2019 intel MacBook as well a few weeks ago. Headless on the servers and Hyprland/Quickshell on the laptop. It’s just so fucking good

That and control. It used to be done by keeping the common folk illiterate. Now they’re crippling our ability to think entirely. Much easier that way to control the complacent, ignorant masses

6 daysIt’s pretty much what i do when i think i’m done. Run the test(s) for the stuff i touched, then the whole suite to make sure nothing else broke. Why would i take all that time to run the whole suite every time?

6 daysThat’s how i always describe them. Over-eager junior devs that are trying to impress you with how fast they can get stuff done. Have a lot of book learning but don’t know when to apply certain things. Sometimes, i feel like it should really only be a tool for senior devs because it feels a lot like mentoring a team of noobs
I know this won’t be popular but… There are still people who cobble shoes too, do you buy your shoes from your local cobbler? All your furniture is made by the Amish?
Yes, these things are available but you probably are getting your machine-made shoes from some superstore and your mass-produced furniture from ikea. Mass-produced code seems like a weird hill to die on these days with everything else the way it is.

Mine’s a t2 so my choices were t2linux or nothing, not sure about yours. As far as support, the only thing not working is bluetooth but that’s because i put zero effort into fixing it since i don’t use it. The install was a PITA but well worth it in the end
EDIT: forgot to mention that all ports are working too. I switch between using just the laptop and 2 external monitors no prob
