Huge for that time, sure… But we’ve had concerts with more people than in those huge cities.

As someone who lives in the south of France…they do. Houses like the ones in the second half of the comic are quite rare. No idea what they’re crying about. Even in apartment buildings they have regulations and they all have the same color sun screens on their balconies and stuff. For example:

Was watching the latest season of slow horses. Great show, I fully recommend. However… a couple of assassins that kept firing their pistols while chasing someone annoyed me. Sure, there was time to reload and it’s plausible that they simply didn’t show that. But what are the odds that they were carrying 3-4 spare clips with them? Especially since they weren’t wearing tactical gear anything of the sort.

You misunderstand. I understand everything you say. And you are correct, in the world in which we currently live as we currently understand it. However, the article and the question in op deals with imagination and fantasy.
To give you an example. If someone were to ask you “what would you do if you had a billion dollars?”. You would probably answer by saying something along the lines of “it is impossible for me to earn a billion dollars because x and y”. But that’s not the answer anyone wants when they ask that question. That’s what you’re doing right now. Not sure if you’re doing it to troll people or because you’re having issues with taking things too literally or some other reason. Either way, I’m done with this “conversation”. Have a nice day.

The word “copy” isn’t used in the article nor the op. You continue to engage in bad faith with a simple question instead of just answering it, for some reason. Imagine you could transfer your consciousness into a simulation like in Tron or whatever. That’s what they mean. Not a copy. But your actual self. Or if that’s too hard to accept, just think of a scenario where you’re the copy. You spawn into a world like that. What do you do? Do you play or do you just nope out?

The question is “would” not “will”. It’s a conditional and a longer form of the question would’ve been something along the lines of “if it were realistically possible, would you like to live forever in an afterlife such as this?”
For me the answer is yes. I’d like to have the option to kill myself in case I ever get bored or whatever, but I’d still take it even if I had to risk an eternity of insanity.

Yeah but you’re comparing the 18th largest city in the US to what were at the time the largest cities in the world. Apples to oranges. Why not compare Rome’s 700k to say… Shanghai? There’s 25 million people in the city proper. Just one city. The population of the Han Empire, recorded in the tax census of 156 AD, was 50.6 million people in 12,366,470 households. The entire empire could now fit in 2 cities.
