No choking of any kind is safe. It’s all edge play.

There’s a huge difference between a firm hold and chokehold. Giving someone a firm grasp is a safer way of doing that if you’re gonna do that at all. It’s not as dark romance book boyfriend hot, but it has the added benefit of not leading to accidents.

Not using LLMs (and other tools) isn’t realistic. The proverbial toothpaste is already out of the tube, sadly. There aren’t going to be many/any industries that won’t be using them in some way.

I think the more realistic option is to use them in a responsible way and advocate for that.

If you need the kind of things that it’s providing and you need the audit trails for them. Then it’s for sure worth the money. I know a few orgs that would gladly pay for this and I’m passing it along to them.
