It’s all a trap; it’s all ragebait. Many sensible americans are likely tired of these sorts of inferences. Non-americans can look down their noses and feel smug while they get blasted in the ass by their own fascist leaders (but they’re 20% less fashy). We can snipe at each other but we’re just doing their labor for them. Again.

science@lemmy.world•I watched some videos on dark matter, both for and agianst. The thing I noticed is most of the time the reason it's proven to exist is because you need it to exist for the univers to make sense.bykillea@lemmy.worldEnglish
26 daysNo this is Patrick, I mean science doing its thing where it continuously corrects and updates as new information is introduced. Something which religion seems rather incapable of doing. Though I do believe religion has some valuable tidbits about the core of human existence, creator myths were only really ever a method of social control, and perhaps an easier answer prior to industrial/modern knowledge.

28 daysYes, thank you both for proving my point. Its good for people to be scared of things they refuse to understand or are only supplied propaganda for. And to not at all blame the people who are committing the crimes with said technology. I’m an American; that was a simple gotcha. Though certainly the entire world has a fascism problem, we’re ahead for the developed world. This is why I lurk: you guys are dolts.
PLEASE keep reminding me lemmy was founded by tankies.

28 daysMost people don’t seem to have even a vague idea of how it works though. Typically American: fear without thought.

I hope somebody got fired for that blunder…
