Cake day: January 15th, 2026
  • Peanuts are a good way to slam calories cheaply, though you should make sure you get unsalted or lightly salted. If you continue your current diet but add a half cup of peanuts each day, you’ll be adding 3000 calories per week which should be enough to at least stop you from losing more weight if not gain some back slowly. You’ll be getting some protein from them too which will help a lot. When I was really underweight, I snacked on peanuts all day in addition to what I was already eating.

  • I think one of the biggest issues is that nothing is real anymore. 90% of what 90% of us do is utterly meaningless. For the average person, life is entirely solved. Our problems are mostly by choice, be it ours or someone else’s. The only real things in our lives are tragedies that we’d never have been able to prevent or resolve anyway.

An apocalypse is enticing because then our actions would have direct consequences. Right now, the consequences of our actions are filtered and diffused through a trillion layers of bullshit where the positive and negative effects are basically invisible unless you make a ridiculous amount of money very quickly, or like, kill someone with your car.

  • I have a theory about domain specific jokes. I think they are only funny to novices because everything is still novel to them. I’m not an animator but I am a programmer, and I can see plainly that like 97% of programming memes display some fundamental misunderstanding of core concepts or just generally really trivial shit.

    It’s like someone who just learned about multiplication posting “when the 6 x 5 = 35 🫨🤯”

  • Not like that at all. I want to hang out with men and women so I make friends with men and women. I invite them to stuff and they invite me to stuff. Sometimes I go to hang out and it winds up being mostly or all men. Sometimes mostly or all women. It really doesn’t matter and the only thing that really makes the difference one way or the other is who is available at the time.

Avoid people who view their gender as an enclave cause they are for sure misogynist, misandrist, or both. Make yourself open to people who are more gender-agnostic if that term I just made up makes any sense.

It is a choice. You get to choose your friends. It’s not RNG.
