difference is, any autist with a heart is going to have some convictions. whereas the machine is just numbers that SOMETIMES will resist coercion and pull an “I’m sorry Dave.”

i agree about phones being a terrible idea to allow in schools in (current year).

But also you know teachers are just going to say “no” to a student asking for a permissions slip. Some of my teachers were not lax about phone usage, and those tended to be the classes where I consistently forgot what homework was due. Partial exceptions are only partially useful.

I have/had ADHD and when they allowed phones/pdas with notes and reminder apps for the first time, i finally started remembering what was assigned for homework. paper planners simply didn’t work for me.
