Of course, I know that voting isn’t as effective as actually spreading Marxism-Leninism, but I went on Redlib and viewed the Oregon sub. They are scared of this candidate Christine Drazan who will pulverize the environment and restrict abortion rights. I refuse to get a Reddit account.
I want to connect this back to something Lenin said but of course I need an account to comment. Since it’s an election, especially a close one, it gives a powerful impression to those involved that these unavoidable consequences of captialism are completely avoidable. There is a lot of education to be done here and it’s tiring.
Really, I hear how terrified people of what will happen, which makes me feel sad for them. I should be going out and giving them hope but I have severe social anxiety.

This is the answer that works best in the U.S.: I would expand this to say that, for those who intrinsically understand its feeble nature, communists must show alternatives that work, and do Red Aid.
For instance, it can be shown that, if Cuba and Palestine can provide for their people better despite being besieged, then we can too. Lots of food networks like Food Not Bombs operate well, and other mutual aid orgs can be shown as examples, even if they are not ideologically driven. A bill drafted in a bourgeois government to spend money to buy food to distribute to the poor takes ages, and often has to deal with bourgeois politicos obstructing it. Mutual and Red Aid have none of these problems.
There is also the fact that (at least in the U.S., tell me about your countries) the government cracks down on unauthorized welfare, and that having a new state for better welfare would require going against the police and military, such as the case with the Black Panthers’ free breakfast program and the MOVE bombing, thereby making government welfare the “safer” option, but nevertheless conspicuously in bourgeois control.
