Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•[Discussion] What was the first Steam game you ever purchased?byDonjuanme@lemmy.world
9 daysPuzzle quest: challenge of the warlords was the original, it was such a unique and polished take on the match 3/bejeweled gameplay.
They just remastered it with puzzle quest immortal edition, which I’ve taken to playing over the original, it’s perfect 1 hand gaming, though I understand that has a different connotation these days, I’m still using the term to mean I have an animal or a small human taking residence on some portion of my body

11 daysPuzzle quest.
My friend bought me the orange box, ugh I have to install this new “game manager” to play these things, but they look fun…
At the same time “how do I figure out which of these files to torrent when the game is only 50mb? So many viruses are 50mb”. Sure enough I download a virus, wipe my computer and create the " 1 dollar per ten megabytes" rule, so long as I’m getting at least 10mB of information per dollar I’d rather pay for it and not risk getting another virus.
Sure enough, puzzle quest just barely fit into that rule, I bought it and have since added a thousand other games (and just recently bought the re-release of puzzle quest!)
But check out this awesome ai recommendation I got when searching for Halloween 2026… (Fuck everything about this btw, no sarcasm)

16 daysI’m very happy with my 24 solterra, it’s pretty much Toyota, but it’s the best performing Subaru I’ve ever had. A shame there aren’t more Americans interested in buying them.
We had a loaner vehicle for a weekend, the Crosstrek wilderness, and I was talking with the car brained boss about getting the solterra back, I told him I miss the power, he heard “I’m going to miss the power” thinking the internal combustion engine was in any way an improvement to the all electric, I told him besides the engine noise there is nothing the ice does higher numbers in than the all- electric.
It’s half the price of most new cars, and it blows everything but the highest performing cars (and other electric vehicles) out of the water.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You're coming over for a big potluck dinner, so whatcha bringing?byDonjuanme@lemmy.world
18 daysMicrowave chocolate chips until soft (try stirring them after about a minute in the microwave, they sometimes keep their shape despite being melted.)
Add smooth peanut butter to your taste, microwave again for another 30 to 60 seconds, stir to combine, pour in chex mix, gently stir to coat the cereal
grab a gallon size ziplock, add excessive powdered sugar to ziplock (the extra will fall off the cereal into the bottom of the bowl), add chocolate peanut butter coated cereal to the ziplock, seal ziplock and shake the snot out of it,
Pour into your potluck bowl or take the bag as is.

21 daysOnly the best. At enriching themselves.
But mother in law didn’t want to make it “too tight” so it wouldn’t cut off poor baby’s leg circulation…
Nevermind the thing is so stretchy it could probably fit a pre schooler, now I’ve got very dirty hands and a very angry child, and I probably need to break out the steam cleaner.
Used for religious purposes of course
Household electricity bill comes in at 30 cents per kilowatt at off peak times, 60 cents per kilowatt at peak (so I’m actually paying the same as the fast charger, and at about 2kw/hour I barely pay more than if I were to fast charge it fortunately it’s only a few hours every evening)
I used to be dismayed that fast charging the electric car ended up being about as expensive as filling the tank with gas (price per mile), because damnit electricity should be cheaper than gas, and I was having to wait “at the pump” for longer periods of time. But it still made up for it because outside of road trips I never had to use the fast chargers.
Now it’s work the wait, because even 60 cents per kilowatt (which is still so much bullshit) I go so much further per dollar than 6 dollars a gallon gas.
I was child free until I wasn’t?
Lil guy is pretty cute.
Saw this when browsing everything, normally I’d let it pass but I felt called out.
I totally support the child free community. Was pretty sure I’d be amongst you all.
I hope most in the child free are not aggressively against children, I knew someone like that once, not a cool person.

It’s mostly my primary, but I mostly only stream and play steam games with it.
