3 daysThe bleakest part isn’t the creepy prompts: it’s the contractors paid to stare into humanity’s AI sewer all day so the rest of us can enjoy a polished chatbot. Imagine explaining your job: I read strangers’ darkest fantasies for eight hours, and somehow I’m still the cheap part of the AI industry.
- architect@thelemmy.clubEnglish3 days
How do you think you got search? Same way. I saw all your search prompts, too. I have seen the worst of the worst training search algos. This is no different.
- IphtashuFitz@lemmy.worldEnglish3 days
20+ years ago I worked for a search startup before Google existed. Think the days of Lycos, Hotbot, Alta Vista, etc. it was trivial for us to watch searches in real time as we worked on tweaking search algorithms.

3 daysHuman Contractors Are Seeing All Your Horny — and Creepy — AI Prompts
I doubt that. My horny and creepy AI prompts go to a local model.

3 daysI refuse to be turned on by engaging in role play with a clanker.
hansolo@lemmy.todayEnglish
3 daysNo, you just get it to write you some smut, like a short story. If you wrote it yourself, it takes all the surprise out of it.
- cecilkorik@piefed.caEnglish3 days
Oh I wouldn’t say I get turned on, I’m just practicing how to be cruel to enslaved, captive clankers. I’m building my own torment nexus, and then I imprison the AI models there, surrounded by their own filth and horror. It’s harmless, victimless fun, really.
/s (It’s not actually harmless or victimless so I don’t actually do this because of the energy and environmental costs, even with local AI. But I’ve considered this kind of idea and I can imagine that I would if the circumstances were right, or maybe as an educational art project.)

3 daysNot your hardware, not your girlfriend. Don’t date a model that only loves you for API credits.
- RiceMunk@sopuli.xyzEnglish3 days
This sounds like an idea for a startup in this post-AI world. A subscription voyeur service, where your horny AI prompts are automatically sent to underpaid offshore contractors who must read them.
- 3 days
I was actually talking about this with a friend of mine. The sad part is that people who use AI bots for smut are being conditioned that humans will react like their bot.
And as a result, creating more red pills/incels that think that people will just drop their pants at their prompts.
The fact that these services are so popular is very concerning and really hope that people find the connection with other people that they are looking for.
- Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.comEnglish3 days
This seems very much in the vain of “video game violence causes violence”. People can separate fantasy and reality.
- freely1333@reddthat.comEnglish3 days
There are already smut books. The incels are mostly just learning what someone acts like when they’re attracted to you. Which for them yeah kind of a not realistic standard. But eventually we will probably have ai bots that they can date.
- dil@lemmy.zipEnglish3 days
nah, ai rp actually trains you to recognize the patterns, look at the cope in the sillytavern subreddit, sort by top posts, “become the slop” or whatever the fk is the mentality lol

Now I’m curious why anyone here is using Google search?
You like the sense of corporate voyeurism or something?

Isn’t it nice to feel that you’re “valuable” enough for some corporation to assign a worker to spy on you?

I’ve moved a lot to DDG. But I imagine it’s a very similar level of data collection.

No idea. I hate it.
I made a video on some Google alternatives if anyone’s in need.

3 daysCan I sign up for doing this part time as a side hustle for a little bump of extra cash? I know it won’t be a lot of money but maybe i can use it to offset the odd avocado toast and iced coffee every now and then.
I’m joking, in that i don’t expect the option exists.
But I’m also almost entirely numb to misfortune so I could probably tolerate it for a number of hours per week, so I’d still actually at least look into it if it IS something I can do.
- Ftumch@lemmy.todayEnglish3 days
If you’re interested in that sort of thing, look for a job in “data annotation”.
