An example of garlic that was left in the ground too long

This is hardneck garlic, no idea what kind but it’s either Music, Rocambole, or Russian Red 😅

You can see the cloves moving away from the stalk and the tips of the cloves look like they might be thinking about sprouting…

This is garlic that will cure well and last for a few months:

Hardneck doesn’t last as long but it is best for our climate. We will likely make garlic salt or garlic powder in the dehydrator if we can’t use it before it sprouts.
