Nothing says “I’m legitimate” more than fleeing your country after a botched frauded election

He’s fleeing because winning the election was the only way to extend his immunity to prosecution. He has a bunch of pending cases regarding corruption, tax evasion, a financing scandal, and money laundering.

And millions of voters looked at him and thought “Yup, that’s my guy!”.

And, like in the Untied States, I’m bewildered at the asinine system that allows getting elected to be a viable way to avoid prosecution

Why do all these failed wanna be dictators end up fleeing to the US and end up being greeted in Florida? Its almost like there is a pipeline of shitty people coming and going from the state…

10 daysThat’s weird, why would this guy think this place should give him sanctuary?

Flávio’s departure defies an order by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes prohibiting the defeated candidate from leaving the country and instructing him to surrender his passports. The ruling is connected to an investigation into Flávio’s alleged participation in a money-laundering scheme. (He’s also being investigated as part of a probe into the financing of a biopic of his father.) By Tuesday morning, the younger Bolsonaro had missed the deadline to hand over his travel documents, and the Brazilian federal police were looking into whether he had left the country via Argentina.
He’s not yet a US immigrant, but it appears he violated laws by leaving Brazil.

He already planned to leave… Probably knowing he’d be convicted of something…

My policy on immigrants and ICE has suddenly changed in a way I could never have anticipated.

I’ve seen another story saying he was ordered to hand in his passport and he said he was going to comply.

He is probably being pedantic, and meant he’d hand in his passport to US customs agents
- 10 days
Well, if you read the article, he didn’t hand them in and they were canceled. Also:
A senior Brazilian Federal Police official said Bolsonaro has not exited the country via any regular migration point.
Probably, took off on someone’s private yacht or something like that.

They say he crossed over land to Argentina and had a plane waiting there to take him to the US, but bailed on the last part (at least with that particular plane) when the plot was revealed.
