The average American commutes 2× the distance than the average UK citizen. Plus there’s rarely a public transit option. So for many this is a doubling of an expense that cannot be avoided.

New Labour are just Tories with working class marketing. Conditions have continued to get worse for workers under New Labour, hence the recent push towards the Greens. Because they’re the only major party taking an anti capitalist stance
