I really don’t know why I’m still here, because I’m not a miserable asshole, at least not in the way that makes you enjoy being around Lemmy’s userbase.
I want the technology to succeed but it feels like a victim of who’s likely to even be interested.
No it doesn’t. The only active fandom community here is for Star Trek, people quote George Carlin so much that it’s made me hate bits I used to find uproarious, and it generally has a curmudgeonly feel to it.
It’s Gen X for sure.
This is also stupid because before the tail end of the 2000s, the types of games you’d buy a PC for were different than consoles. Not to say there were no platformers on PC, but you were going with console if that was your biggest interest.
