You could ask at a local copy/print shop, they might offer a photo scanning service. If you just have the occasional batch, or one off job. it might be cheaper just to pay them.

They exist, not cheap though, about $300.
I’ll drop a link in a few minutes.
Search for auto feed photo scanner - Amazon has a few. Lowest price is $219

There is Fujitsu their scansnap product.
It does exactly what you are asking for.
Any flatbed scanner?
What are you scanning that you’re worried is going to get damaged?

I think they’re asking for an automated way to scan in a bunch of photos, instead of doing it one by one on a scanner. Which I’m not sure if there’s a good solution for that besides paying someone else to do it

There are self feeding scanners. I used to use them for work in medical offices. They’re also great for taxes to keep track of receipts. You can feed like 50 pages at a time with the one I had and they always scan perfectly. This was years ago but it was pricey.

Yeah there’s a ton of ADF scanners out there. But when OP said they don’t want to damage them I figured they had something fragile they didn’t want to feed through one.

OOH. That makes sense. I never even considered that. Maybe one of those wand scanners would work? I think the quality on those is usually pretty bad though?

If it is a huge amount that you will only do once, save some money and hire a local kid to muscle through the pile, unless the pics are of an adult nature.

Also benefits your community. Kids that do little side gigs like that are significantly less likely to pursue nefarious ways of getting cash.
