Barrels of crude oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz per day:
– 1st week of October: ~ 17 million b/pd
– 2nd week of October: ~ 9.1 b/pd
– 3rd week of October: ~ 6.5 b/pd
And it continues to decline. The short-lived era of U.S. Navy escorts has come to a pathetic and silent end.

• We do not dismiss the possibility of war, this time, the US will face very serious problems, and the world will experience a major energy crisis, should war renew.
• 7 major cables run beneath the Strait of Hormoz, on which all the world’s internet and commercial data depend. We are reminding the enemy of this so that they are aware.

They’re running out of artificial options to keep the oil prices down. Months ago this same tactic worked for significantly longer stretches. We’re witnessing the nullification of US soft power in real time.
And yet the US continues to drive itself off a cliff.
It’s really fascinating seeing the empire stubbornly double down on making the same mistakes, when it could, arguably, mitigate some of the damage by just accepting Iranian demands.
Someone please explain Pakistan to me. Are they just playing all sides hoping one wins more for them than the others lose?
I was actually watching the podcast “The Southern Question” whose hosts are Pakistani Marxists, and they delved into it a bit.
Personally, I think Pakistan kinda follows a similiar doctrine and Türkiye, as in, they’re western aligned, but not entirely self sabotaging. The biggest difference I’d say is that Pakistan has less capabilities to project power, and more explicitly sovereign factions inside of it (like Imran Khan) who’d rather chart a path outside of the West’s interests.
This US just my basic reading of Pakistan though, and I think Pakistani comrades would provide a much better answer. Considering there’s a good amount of theory from Pakistani Marxists, I’d suggest looking for that, as it’s probably very enlightening. I’ve not had the chance to peruse it myself unfortunately.
As I’ve said, I’m not familiar enough to give you anything unfortunately.
The East is a Podcast and The Southern Question had a really good talk about Pakistan not that long ago.
In part Pakistan is playing all the sides but it is also that there are many different groups all doing their own thing.

VIDEO | Palestinian farmers launch collective olive harvest in occupied West Bank to counter Israeli settler attacks
Farmers in the occupied West Bank village of Kafr Qaddum have launched a collective olive harvest campaign, the Olive Solidarity Collective, to confront Israeli settler militias and protect local agricultural lands.
Organized to prevent settlers from isolating and terrorizing landowners, the community-wide effort brings residents together to harvest their crops safely amid escalating settler violence and ongoing land annexation pressures across the occupied territory.

❗️Iran reports US strike on Konarak naval base in Sistan and Baluchestan, leaving two wounded
The Iranian Navy announced that US forces launched an early morning attack against the Konarak naval base, located within a military complex in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
According to naval authorities, the facility was struck by “two light projectiles” targeting a 35mm artillery piece. The strike wounded two Iranian service members at the coastal installation.
The incident marks a direct escalation along Iran’s southern maritime perimeter.
🇮🇷| The IRGC-Navy published footage of a supertanker carrying over 2 million barrels of crude oil that caught fire after hitting a naval mine in the illegal southern Strait of Hormoz route.

❗️Tel Aviv threatens to bomb Dahiye and seize south Lebanon if Hezbollah joins Iranian response
Israeli War Minister Israel Katz warned Hezbollah that Tel Aviv will strike Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiye and launch ground annexations across southern Lebanon if the Lebanese resistance movement participates in any potential retaliatory action alongside Iran.
In statements released by the Israeli military, Katz asserted that any launch originating from Lebanese territory targeting northern settlements would trigger immediate carpet bombing across Dahiye under the guise of “establishing deterrence”.
Expanding on the threats, Katz declared that Israeli occupation forces would deal Hezbollah a “severe blow” and move to permanently seize additional territory in southern Lebanon up to the Litani River and Nabatiyeh regions.
He further stated that Tel Aviv intends to permanently incorporate these occupied Lebanese borderlands into its unilaterally designated “security zone,” threatening widespread forced displacement and land confiscation.
The belligerent rhetoric comes as Israeli occupation forces continue daily violations of Lebanese sovereignty through low-altitude overflights and artillery shelling along the border.
Despite Tel Aviv’s threats of territorial expansion and urban bombardment, Hezbollah maintains that its defensive posture remains tied to halting Israeli aggression and protecting regional sovereignty against ongoing occupation incursions.

❗️Pakistan halts trade at key Iranian border crossings, leaving thousands of trucks stranded
Pakistan has quietly suspended commercial trade with Iran through the Taftan and Gabd-Rimdan border crossings in Balochistan province, stranding approximately 2,000 cargo trucks on both sides of the frontier, according to Al Jazeera.
While the Pakistani federal government has refrained from issuing an official public statement, the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry confirmed the stoppage.
Local reports cite conflicting justifications for the sudden closure, attributing the measure either to heightened security operations aimed at counterterrorism and anti-smuggling or to temporary technical disruptions at the customs checkpoints.
