If my KSP rockets are anything to go by, “staging” is when you hit the spacebar and everything goes off at once because you forgot to put things in separate stages.

  • “No no, SOUND stage.”

“Of course they’re all sound, they were engineered to very precise tolerances. Get a load of this guy over here…”

    • “No, no, the other kind of sound.”

“Well yeah, they’re very loud. That’s what happens when you make big explosions.”

  • I’m willing to believe it actually happened, but that Stanley Kubrick made what everyone watched on TV. I think they filmed it in case the astronauts died, and just ended up using it instead.

    • Fake Armstrong quote: one small step for man

Real Armstrong, moments after gracelessly tripping down the lander stairs: “thank god this isn’t live”

    • Stanley Kubrick was hired by NASA to fake the moon landing, however, he was such a perfectionist that he insisted on shooting the exterior scenes on location, so they had to go to the moon anyway.

  • Damn, all the conspiracy comes from some dude misunderstanding “staged rockets to the moon”.

    • I think the only SSTO we had by the 1960’s was a very unfortunate manhole cover.

        • more than likely, but I like to think it’s out there somewhere, just waiting for the chance to decimate Melon’s Tesla roadster.

          • Even funnier would be the man himself being hit in the face by a manhole cover returning from outer space one day.
