All these companies and rich people sure are giving a lot of money to the Trump admin
Sounds like they can afford a tax increase

The oligarchs are going to be using it, so of course they’re throwing in on priority seating.

What if, and hear me out, these huge companies just paid their taxes instead of directly bribing politicians? Stop using Panama and Ireland and shell corporations and TIF agreements with municipalities. Just pay your fucking taxes like the rest of us.

It would be great if they were prosecuted for treason after the fascism is over, although I fully expect the Dems to pull the, “let’s look forward and move on,” bullshit.

Nah it will be 12 trillion dollars for the first head line and then about twelve appeals later it will be 12 dollars and no one will see that headline.

You want every company who donated to Trump or his campaign prosecuted for treason?

I dream of Trump having no power for the last half of his term and getting charged with crimes after not going after companies for donating to the asshole.
I dream of ICE being held accountable for their crimes not charging Tim Apple.

I would not be surprised if this works exactly like the contributions for the 250th anniversary celebration: Everything was paid for by tax dollars, and nobody knows where the contributions from citizens and companies actually went.

That seems a bit harsh, I see it more like they understood that they had to pay tribute to the king to keep operating in peace.
As a general rule, I dislike making extreme comparisons lile that, as I see it as diluting the term.

2 daysHow is paying tribute to a king in the United States, a nation explicitly founded on the principle of no kings, not comparable to collaborous treason?

AMD is the same exact thing now. They’re not even competing anymore. Their CEOs are blood related. Nothing matters anymore. AMD donated to Trump, too.

Huang’s cousin is in charge of AMD. They’re both decent people. I hate the way they’re complicit.
I just convinced my Mom to switch to Android, away from Apple. They’re all evil, but Apple is a special kind of Evil.

Well Sundar Pichai also gave the mandatory million dollar bribe when Trump was sworn in and has given many more in the meantime, so I hope you’ve got her on a de-googled phone that’s not a Pixel
