🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 Record $1.33 million a day to send a tanker through Hormuz
The cost of chartering an oil tanker for a passage through the Strait of Hormuz has hit the highest level in history, $1.33 million per day, the Financial Times reports.
Shipowners are now paying crews like soldiers of fortune to make the run past Iran:
➡️Tanker captains are being offered $100,000 a month, plus bonuses of up to $50,000 for each passage
➡️Ordinary sailors are being offered four to six times their usual pay
➡️Normally, captains working the southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman earn about $15,000 a month, and crew members from $1,500
One industry representative said seafarers are now “almost viewed as combat mercenaries” because of the risks involved.

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 USS Abraham Lincoln limps home after 10 months off Iran
The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln has arrived in San Diego after more than 10 months away, one of the longest US carrier deployments since the Vietnam War. Its aircraft were among the first to strike Iran on 28 February.
➡️The crew spent more than 260 consecutive days at sea without a port call.
➡️Eight service members in the strike group attempted suicide, the acting Navy secretary told Congress.
➡️After Iran destroyed the main US supply base in Bahrain, sailors went without fresh food, hygiene products and mail.
Defense Secretary Pete Kegsbreath, who extended the deployment twice, blamed the media for portraying the ship as a symbol of dysfunction.

❗️Hormuz vessel traffic falls to lowest level in over two months
The number of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz dropped to its lowest level in more than two months after tanker attacks in the strategic waterway reached their highest point last week since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran, according to shipping data.
Seven commodity vessels crossed the strait on Tuesday, marking the lowest daily total since 23 July, data from analytics firm Kpler showed.
“Crude crossing the strait fell 27% from a wartime high the week before, to at least 10.1 million barrels a day,” Kpler analysts Emmanuel Belostrino and Yui Torikata wrote in a note on 6 October.
“That is back to its September average, but 74% of its pre-war level.”
The analysts said most of the decline came from ship-to-ship (STS) transfers in the Gulf of Oman, where cargo is transferred between tankers.
Meanwhile, crude exports from the Gulf of Oman coast and the Red Sea climbed to 6.7 million barrels per day, more than double their pre-war levels, helping offset supply losses through Hormuz.
As a result, overall West Asian crude exports remained around pre-war levels, the analysts said.
The number of vessels crossing the strait rose slightly to 10 on Wednesday, but remained far below the more than 20 recorded on both Sunday and Monday. More vessels entered the waterway than exited over the previous two days.
The figures do not include vessels that switched off their Automatic Identification System transponders to avoid detection.
LSEG data covering all vessels crossing the strait showed eight on Tuesday, split evenly between entries and exits, down from 14 the previous day.
The vessels included five oil tankers and the liquefied natural gas tanker Al-Mafyar, which loaded at Ras Laffan in Qatar and was scheduled to sail to Port Qasim in Pakistan, LSEG said.

❗️Israeli MK, Chairman of Yisrael Beytenu Party Avigdor Lieberman:
"In about two and a half years, the United States will recognize a Palestinian state encompassing all of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), the Jordan Valley, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem. Every senior official in the US State Department and the National Security Council, every one of them, without exception, overwhelmingly supports such recognition.
This has not happened until now because Israel has managed to neutralize that dangerous position thanks to its very strong standing in American public opinion, and as a result has also enjoyed broad political support from both parties. But there is an iron rule in politics: the moment you lose public support, you lose political support.
Today, our standing in American public opinion is at an unprecedented low. The next president elected in about two years, whether Republican or Democrat, will move toward recognizing a Palestinian state, including advancing a UN Security Council resolution recognizing it as a full UN member state.
What Netanyahu is doing today is, in effect, knowingly helping establish a Palestinian state. Bibi will go down in history as the founder of the Palestinian state.
There are about two years until the next US elections. By then, the State of Israel must define its endgame regarding the Palestinian Authority and the territories of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), the Jordan Valley, and the Gaza Strip.
Ignoring the problem, letting things drift, and waiting until they explode in our faces, that has been Netanyahu’s pattern of conduct over the years. That is how he ignored my warnings regarding Hamas in the Gaza Strip and delayed action until it exploded in our faces on October 7.
Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) has begun a planned and calculated process that will start on November 28 with elections for the Palestinian parliament, and from there lead to a broad confrontation with Israel that will accompany us until the US presidential elections in November 2028.
We must not sit idly by. Israel’s objective and endgame should be the elimination of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the dismantling of the Palestinian Authority, including the cancellation of the Oslo Accords.
But because there is no vacuum in the world, and because Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad could seize control once the Palestinian Authority is dismantled, we must agree in advance with the international community on who will assume control and administration of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and the Gaza Strip.
I emphasize: I strongly oppose a return to the period of military rule and to Israeli responsibility for and administration of the daily lives of Palestinians in Nablus, Tulkarem, Rafah, Khan Yunis, and other cities.
Jordan could be the country that replaces the Palestinian Authority and manages the daily lives of Palestinians in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), including maintaining public order through a police force. The Jordanians would not deploy an army or any force beyond the police.
Security responsibility for all of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) would remain in the hands of the IDF (Israeli military). Security cooperation with Jordan has proven itself over decades. We share a 300-kilometer border. Aqaba borders Eilat, and the distance from the border to Beit She’an is five kilometers. The forces stationed along most of the border are Jordanian soldiers who maintain the calm.
As for Gaza, there are serious actors in the Arab world who would be willing to assume responsibility for daily life there, but that will happen only after Israel completes the task and eradicates Hamas’s rule.
This is my plan and the endgame I propose for resolving the Palestinian issue. I would be pleased to hear from the leaders of all the parties and understand what solutions and proposals they have on this issue."

We’ve all seen this coming. Anyone whose been paying attention knew that the zionists will never stop until they’re forced out, but it’s still stomach churning to read. Although, frankly, I think some of their assumptions are either delusional or clearly untrue.
For one, the claim that Israel has 2 and a half years before the US recognizes a Palestinian state which encompasses the 67 borders is in my opinion fear mongering for other zionists. The US, even with a so called “progressive” president (socdem) is not going to stop supporting Israel. This is just a way to explain away why Israel is trying to accelerate the extermination of Palestine.
Frankly, I think the biggest issue with that claim is assuming Israel exists for another 2 and a half years. The more the US gets pushed out of the rest of the region and concentrated in Israel by Iran, the more vulnerable Israel becomes. The US and Israel can’t defeat Iran, as has been proven. If the zionist entity is the focus of Iran’s attacks, then I very much doubt their soceity can continue while being constantly bombarded.
Not to mention the resistance within Palestine itself will persist in the scenario of Israeli military rule.
“If the premises are true” does that mean USA will bomb Israel? /s because we already know
Pentagon orders CENTCOM to finalize plans to resume war on Iran: Report

Aside from the gulf regimes, I assume the targets will be Jordan, the Saudi regime, and the zionist entity?
I really don’t know what the empire thinks they’ll gain from this. At this point they should be aware this new phase in the war will likely end with all US military infrastructure in Jordan and Saudi Arabia being flattened and the zionist regime having nothing left to respond to Iran’s (and the wider Resistance Axis, obviously) attacks.
I find it a little interesting Iran isn’t militarily targeting Turkiye, despite Türkiye being very pro-imperialist. Are there reasons for not doing so?
I find it a little interesting Iran isn’t militarily targeting Turkiye, despite Türkiye being very pro-imperialist. Are there reasons for not doing so?
My guess is they see Türkiye as being more independent then the rest, and potentially have a greater military capacity comparatively to the Gulf regimes, Saudia Arabia and Israel.
Türkiye actively deindustrialized Aleppo in Syria during the civil war. Essentially dismantling entire factories and reconstructing them in Türkiye.
In other words, they, unlike the rest of the West, likely have some matter of a domestic arms industry that is somewhat self sufficient.
Not to the mention the Russia factor. If Iran strikes Türkiye, then Türkiye may retaliate by giving problems to Russia in the black sea, causing issues for the war in Ukraine. This could be used as a dividing factor between Russia and Iran, so I’d imagine the Iranians don’t want to create problem for themselves in that respect.
I’d say that the end of the Ukraine war will probably be the thing that makes Iran take a more hardline stance against Türkiye, as then Türkiye would then lose a lot of leverage against Russia.
We’ve seen how Türkiye uses it’s geography to leverage Russia before, especially against Syria when Assad stupidly decided to go along with the freeze on the conflict.
These are only my assumptions though, so perhaps if other comrades have more to add, please do so.
I guess it makes more sense now with the context you added, although I understand these are only assumptions like you said. It kind of explains why they would be the absolute last place Iran would target, given its military power compared to the gulf regimes.
I do get your point regarding the Ukraine war. It’s probably best for Iran to wait until the war in Ukraine ends. To me, Türkiye’s independence and geography are probably some of the reasons for its rhetoric during the war in Ukraine, the zionist genocide, and the regional war in West Asia in general. It allows them to pose as a mediator while being a self serving participant in the empire’s colonization of West Asia.
