Flock cameras are not the only problem, ring doorbell cameras and their similar products are also collecting our data and used to train a.I. and watch us and the thing is it is easy to have an off line/local motion detection camera for safety.

Apparently Home Depot in Toronto has plans for them to be installed, to help with their theft issues. The same theft issues the cops already do sweet fuck all about. But apparently having AI hallucinations telling the cops that XYZ did the crime is somehow going to help them.

While Rona is a “Canadian” company, it is owned by Sycamore Partners since 2023. An American private equity firm based in New York.
I’m not sure what’s left nationally beyond Home Hardware and Canadian Tire. Regionally and locally there may be some additional options.

And then some of your independent hardware stores like Preston in Ottawa.
There is also online Canadian stores instead.
