2 monthsIf you are interested in software development, and willing to put in the work to actually learn strong fundamentals, I think you’re going to have a clear leg up on the competition after the AI bubble in all likelihood bursts eventually. Vibe coding is hurting the signal to noise ratio in general right now, but as far as I’m aware a “live portfolio” like a website of personal projects has always been as good if not better than a resume when it comes to selling your skills in software.
Just consider whether you’ll be able to tolerate doing the work when you’re not going to be the one in charge of deciding what you work on.
