Ok then why did you give money to your friend DHH for Omarchy? it’s literally a slop vibe coded “distro”.

Because of the complete vibe coding of Omarchy it takes longer the configure it than any other distro with a WM. I mean hell the AI cut the Hyperland config up into 6 damn LUA files AND THEN you have to unbind everything and rebind it as opposed to ONE file that you can literally just swap out binds. And yet you gave the guy a couple million for it.

So I’m so sorry Tobias but you did this to yourself. you were one of the first to embrace AI completely and use it completely wrong and now you’re whining about it and you continue to fund it. you can’t have it both ways bud.

have you tried running/installing the repack via steam? that’s what I do and I rarely have issues. at least not as many issues if I were to run/install it via Lutris.

I don’t know other than that. Repacks on Linux are hit or miss.

When I first switched to linux I used Mint and it was a horrible experience with my laptop at the time for gaming. the laptop itself was a hybrid Nvidia/AMD GPU so…I mean…Not a great experience for most distros but it was REALLY bad on Mint.

on other Distros it was better but I was regulated to Wayland only as hybrids on X11 are just a no go.

So depending on your setup gaming on linux can potentially just be as easy as installing steam or it can turn into a chore.

it has something called “Shelly” which is funny because months ago when the dev of Shelly released the thing I said “you should honestly get in contact with the CachyOS folks” and now it does have Shelly.

It’s a pretty great GUI for installing AUR stuff, packages, and flatpaks.

this game has been the best thing that has happened to this idiots career in years.

buddy of mine bought this and I went over to his place to play it. It’s boring. it holds your hand for everything and it’s impossible to fail QTEs so there’s just no point in doing them.

I like CachyOS and it’s my go to if I want to use Arch. Everytime I install Arch I always forget something, always. so then it’s trying to remember what I did the last time to get something to work correctly. With CachyOS it’s just good to go for me. and they’ve really improved the install process and cut out A LOT of bloat. Before it would take forever to install Cachy but now it’s quick and the only thing I really have to remove when it’s done is alacritty and firefox. Paired with KDE it’s smooth sailing and great performance.

he wasn’t much of a programmer to begin with and if you look at the repo for Omarchy…i highly doubt he touched most of it by hand. many scripts in that thing leave you scratching your head as to why the guy from Ruby On Rails would write that and then you realize “ah, yeah, Claude wrote this.”

it’s slop. it’s all slop. They also have well over 1000 “user made” plugins of which NONE are vetted, most are broken, and some just straight up exploit the users system. I found one that just straight up takes the users .ssh directory. It’s the wild west of idiocy amongst Omarchy users.

As someone who is all about the 40k lore, have no clue how to play the game, don’t have any miniatures, you really gotta take it all in small doses as there’s so much of it or let someone on youtube explain it for you.

It’s good lore, it’s insanely deep lore, and it’s all over the place. Keep in mind it all takes place of the span of 10s of thousands of years. there will be entire novels of the most mundane Astartes chapter/legion. There’ll be legions/chapters you have no clue about because no one has written about them or they get shoved off to the side. I know a lot of the lore but I honestly couldn’t tell you anything about the twin Primarchs Alpharius and Omegon nor their Alpha Legion.
