@velma yep, to its content. False reports are a crime, be it false rape allegations, swatting or anything. They should be punished harshly. Imagine if I could unleash the police on anyone I didn’t like and have zero consequences for doing it lol

@velma Women ‘set back by 50 years’ (ie: undesirable outcome) as […] Peru debate tougher penalties (ie: perceived cause) for false reports […], despite such cases being rare (ie: justification)

@velma would you concisely explain to everyone why you think lying to the police about a crime that never happened should be ok?

@velma oh god look at who’s back with more ramblings… Yes false reports of ALL kinds should carry harsh penalties. Because they waste public resources, they can ruin lives with effects outlasting the eventual acquittal and because law should not be a tool for your personal convenience. @velma because women don’t live in a vacuum. If she got pregnant then there most likely is a man involved. Which may not wish to become father. It could have been an adventure, he could be an underage student in which case his parents would be on the hook. I really don’t see how you expect a pregnancy to only ever affect the mother
@velma all is good then!
