I do think it is interesting that your response to this was more in empathy with the rapists than it was the undermining the severity of sexual violence and ridiculing victims, and then went on to not even consider what the victim would want as justice.

No, people don’t deserve to get raped, but it is important to remember that they aren’t, this joke references the fact that rape happens in prison, not about whether it ought to be a punishment; I made the addition that it was for “the right people,” because I know that’s how they’d try to defend it. The real problem is, yes, that this belittles sexual violence and therefore trivializes the harm done to the victims; which is why men use jokes like this and why they think about the rapists before they do the victims.

This person is using the looksmaxing language to make a joke about Clavicular getting raped in prison, because they think it’s funny that people get raped in prison. They’re making that joke under an article that describes the experiences of a young woman who was apparently raped by Clavicular, so they though this would be a good setting to make that joke because they did not even consider if it would be bad to undermine the severity of sexual violence for their funny haha joke about how the right people deserve to get raped.

And of course, the article describes how the police are following the standard “victim wasn’t a good enough victim,” discrediting practice.
