You’d have to increase a new boiler by a lot to make a heat pump worthwhile currently, and then you’ll find most people would be able to afford neither.
I have my own reservations about the motion, but it isn’t really antisemitic. I think calling something “antisemitic” is simply used as a shortcut to discredit anything they don’t like related to Israel and Judaism. There’s never any reason given for something like this being antisemitic, it “just is”.
A frothing Tory’s “political activism” is often just common sense. e.g. it’s OK to be gay, trans people exist and that’s OK…
While of course I teach these values in basic fucking human decency to my child, I have no problem in it coming up in the classroom, especially if there’s a marginalised child in the class.
Just because some adults like to bully marginalised people, it doesn’t mean their kids should be able to get away with bullying in school too.
And that’s not even mentioning that teachers also shouldn’t be “impartial” around basic scientific concepts like climate change and vaccines…
They are a green party, funnily enough. They don’t “need” to become a socialist party.
