Damn, never heard the term “disaster lesbian” before, and now I feel like I’ve been read to filth.

I guess that’s why I’m curious. Again, I’m not trying to shoot it down or be a buzzkill, but yeah most of the time I see people talk about these, it has to do with comfort and a shared symbolism. It honestly may just be that I’m too old to empathize with that, or just that I’ve never been all that comforted by plushes like these.
Edit: This isn’t to say that it is “immature” to be comforted by them, more that I just haven’t had that inclination in a rather long time, and likely have lost connection with it.

I don’t want to be a buzzkill, this is seriously something I don’t understand, why do y’all want these? Is it just because of its symbolism of transness at this point?
I’m going to save this and send it to a friend or family member who trusts me dearly, while they’re having a bad trip.
Yeah, it’s another injury forced on us. But, it also allows you to foster an optimism for the unbelievable in a way that most people are highly discouraged from ever hoping for. Some of you may meet this with humour, but try accepting the discomfort and learning how to live with it, use it, and get excited from it.
I don’t even know what counts for that, does anyone have an example? I may lack self-awareness in a way that I could not have hoped to anticipate.
