Not a franchise yet, but in Italy we had a good try at a superhero movie in “Lo Chiamavano Jeeg Robot” (They called him Jeeg Robot, Jeeg Robot being a 1970s japanese anime referenced in the movie).
But don’t expect anything positive or even only subtly fascist like Batman.
As AllNewTypeFace explained, in Europe we scoff at the Superhero concept and probably because the last guy we had in Europe that was into it threw us into WWII.


I am not a dev and mine are only guesses, but once you have assets and entities disappearing, and the action doesn’t make use of any shortcut strategy, isn’t it simpler to turn the whole thing in a scripted sequence of some kind, like a QTE sequence?
The encounters also seem to be very “episodic” in nature, so the moments in between could serve as loading/deloading moments.
And it would prevent people from turning around and making the necessary design more complex.
