A recently created post linked to an old article which had already been commented on a few years ago. The summary in PieFed (showing the number of comments in each community) displays “0” for the old post when the actual number is over 40+ comments.
All of those comments in the old post are locked (too old to vote/comment on). It looks like PieFed ignores old comments for the purpose of this count.
I don’t think this is intended, but if it is, then I would suggest that this be changed to display the actual number of comments regardless of how old a comment is.

Anubis is doing the same thing. Most Lemmy/PieFed instances have it.
