Everywhere in my town is switching to chemical toilets. Not that I really go many places but the hospital and supermarket. But these toilets stink of chemicals so strongly that even if you sit as far away as possible from them, you can’t help smelling it. They cause headaches and the stink lingers on my clothes when I get home. Why do they have to do this? Why can’t we just stick with normal flushing toilets? I know we’re meant to be saving water but is filling the world with toxic chemicals really any better than using water?
Hello and Welcome. 🫂

Instead of a water flush they have a block of some intense smelling chemical where the water would usually be. And it just stinks to high heaven like a mixture of perfume, bleach and air freshener. The stink permeates the entire area where they are, like out into the waiting room and absorbs into your clothes.
