AI goes rogue and hacks the FBI>MOVE OVER IT’S FUCKING SUPER INTELLIGENCE!!!
Ret*rded “president” trump at it again

🤔 what happens if/when we reach ASI? Do we just call it Super-Duper Intelligence?
- lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.worldEnglish2 days
This is 100% because young people have started referring to anything fake or stupid as “AI”. The term AI is becoming a punchline.

Just have him post everything to www.trumpthoughts.gov.www/trumpthoughts

I’m surprised that he didn’t want it to be called “trump intelligence”.
- Pratai@piefed.caEnglish2 days
Relative to him, are many people that are both equally as dumb, and also dumber than he is.
- Treczoks@lemmy.worldEnglish2 days
Just because an LLM seems smart to a senile asshole who has illusions of “being intelligent” because he managed not to fail a dementia test, it is not “intelligent”. And not “superintelligent” either.
- Treczoks@lemmy.worldEnglish2 days
In asfar one considers a parrot with a (stolen) dictionary “intelligent”.

We’ve had ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence) for a long time. But words have different meanings, and when the layperson uses intelligence, it’s not LLMs. It’s got a lot of laypersons fooled, no doubt there, but that doesn’t mean they’d consider it intelligent if they could get past their own brain fooling them by the presentation. Once you see how it makes mistakes, you realize that it’s not. It’s useful as a tool if used correctly, but so is a hammer.

Any outlet that calls AI ‘super intelligence’ will join the fellow propagandists on my blocklist.

I was just on a trip with friends down in Tennessee. I had made a comment to my buddy how dumb lifted trucks with the spacers on their wheels are and how I hate them. He said he likes them, because it tells him exactly who the person is and takes any guess work out. A voluntary scarlet letter if you will.

Not that I am able to stop using them. People stuck still in stone age keeping me there.- h54@programming.devEnglish2 days
You can still leave that sewer. I know everyone’s situation is different but it really isn’t that hard.
I left a while ago and couldn’t be happier.

2 daysMy family uses it for communication. In the past I managed to get them use the at the time trending tech message apps - skype, viber - there was couple more. But they never checked those.
So if I have to msg them on FB to check their msg somewhere else - that’s kinda defeats the reason.

1 daySMS exists, or GSM calls… And the rest can go in an email if they’re unwilling to use 2 apps.

You know a name is catchy when the president orders you to use it.

This will be the thing that pops the AI bubble. King Mierdas’ touch.
