It may be more appropriate in its own post, but to facilitate meaningful discussion in line with this post:
It’s my opinion this comm should institute a “no venting questions” rule in some form.
Many of the posts here are similiar to the following:
“Why isn’t the world in line with my personal beliefs, I’m right?”
“How am I supposed to feel anything good / why are you feeling anything good when bad things exist?”
“Why do people act badly or in ways I do not like?”
The internet is a quite young place over all so it makes sense for a lot of people to still be grappling with the complexity of lifes existential questions, but I think it’s a ding to the comm’s overall attractiveness that quite so many of the posts are both negatively focused and repetitive.

!rant@lemmy.sdf.org exists. But why use a smaller sub when you can get more traction–at least briefly–on a bigger one?

“Engagement” does not equal productive discussion.
Your question doesn’t ask for an answer, it asks others to regurgitate your opinion back to you so you can all circle-jerk each other over how “everyone is wrong and stupid except for us”.

For what it’s worth I agree and fucking hate the Lemmy mods. FUCK YOU LEMMY MODS!!
Edit: allow me to explain. I despise authority, any fucking kind. I am a misanthropic Anti-Natalist that wishes to see the world destroyed.
I literally want a big fucking rock to wipe out this planet. Absolutely nothing in this universe actually matters. Think I’m wrong? Ask yourself in 10k years if you really think anything said or done today will matter. It doesn’t, there is no fucking God and nothing matters. So FUCK YOU!! Little Lemmy power-hungry Mods that want to gatekeep shit and say what can and cannot be said online. FUCK ALL OF YOU!
Double Edit: if you are a Lemmy Mod, then you are a pathetic, despicable little piece of Nazi-loving shit.
