      The cope being that China has a higher literacy rate, more protein eaten per capita, more concrete poured for infrastructure than America has in the past 70 years, less homelessness and a higher rate of home ownership? That’s cope on my end?

          Edit: Also, to put a finer point on it, I wouldn’t blame you being skeptical of some communists on the internet whose accomplishments are hard to point to as an organized thing, but you really have no business putting down communist vanguard China. Even rabid imperialists would be delusional to deny what China has accomplished under the leadership of the CPC.

          You really have nothing to fear from a principled communist vanguard like China’s unless you spend your days exploiting others for personal gain (ex: you are a landlord) or you ally with fascist death squads or something.
