• This is the best post I’ve ever seen.

No, seriously. I used to own a 2400 baud modem - this is peak content. It’s all downhill from here…

  • Store-brand liquor is unfortunately a luxury i am unable to have access to in my northern european state I happen to have born to

Edit: atleast the sauna is currently hot as fuck

      • Iirc I can get a handle (1.5L) of Svedka (so, not even rotgut) for like $12 or so. Or drop a 20 on a handle and get moderately acceptable bourbon. Like not good bourbon, but if you’re 23 and broke you can enjoy it as a sipping whiskey. Unfortunately I’ve picked up a taste for scotch and good whiskey instead

        • I fell in love with good whiskey. But that’s not a habit I can truly afford to drink on like a Saturday I’ll get hammered. If I’m going full tilt it’s svedka

          • I’m fortunately a lightweight and unfortunately get hungover pretty easy these days so I’ve lost much reason to drink swill. I only really touch vodka in cocktails anymore

    • Yo I just got done saunaing for several hours. We were dipping into a pool outside and running back it was great to jump between them. I feel like I have a brand new skin

    • $5.96 USD for 750ml is wild to me and I’m only a few provinces over from Alberta. It’s nearly $20 CAD for the cheapest 750ml bottle you can get here in Ontario

edit: also being able to buy a $5 mickey of vodka from Walmart might be the most American-ass thing I’ve seen

      • I assume your prices for 1.5L are much more reasonable though? Or is it all tax?

    • Oh boy at least you didn’t forget that you put some vinegar to descale your water container. Now that was a breath of fresh air.

  • Kirkland is cheaper, is that a Nevada state logo on the bottle? Do they make potatoes? (i’m half blind) Oh, Alberta, this is Canadian dollars. Yep, it’s cheaper than Kirkland.

I don’t know why my strikethrough isn’t working.

  • $50 for bottom shelf vodka? It’s been a decade since I drank but im fairly sure 4l of Bartons/Kamchatka/etc is gonna be cheaper…

    • Retailers have recognized that shoppers caught on to the concept that bulk priced items are cheaper than smaller packages. They’ve began to flip that concept on its head. I ran into this today when i found the smaller bottle of cumin to be cheaper per ounce than the large bottle. I expect that they’ve done the about the same thing here where people will expect the bottom shelf stuff to be cheaper especially with the novelty of it being packaged in a flimsy milk bottle.

  • Hey science people, would I be dead? Breathing in a full tank of this vaporized into my lungs overnight?

  • 20 hours

That’s a lot of the stuff. But I am getting pretty close to those levels. I should slow down but also why should I.
