I have heard before that they try to rehome those dogs with cops and former cops so that they can’t be used by drug smugglers to perfect their packing methods. No idea how true that is, but I doubt the veracity of this story.

It’s stupidly easy to break many dogs of training once they realize they don’t have to play the sniffing game to get treats.
Just spoil the hell out of it and it’ll be your best friend drugs or no.
