Idk man, I don’t think a big sword is inherently a cool sword. Now take something like a khopesh that’s a cool sword.

What a large sword, it would be a shame if someone from 22 feet away poked them with a sharp stick.

Fun fact: Fighters with big-ass swords were often used specifically to break up pike formations. Long sharp stick formations usually suffered from sub-par maneuvrability, once they’re past the pike tips it becomes kinda difficult to hit an attacker.
