Oh, shut up, I’m 42 and I can ruin my week just like that!
One night a week is free: go to bed at 5 am, get up at 8, go to work, big smile. I don’t really stop at that, so this is where it gets bad, but I would say it wasn’t much better when I was playing WoW in my 20s- mrmisses@lemmy.worldEnglish25 days
I’m in my 40s playing WoW forever and I would stay up all night but force myself to go to bed because my wife would give me shit. But being tired just isn’t a factor when you’re having a good time

25 daysIt’s not physical for me, it’s mentally. One hour and the guilt and depression set in. I don’t like wasting my time anymore.

I noped out of watching a minor league baseball game with a 6pm start because the thought of driving an hour home after 9pm had me fearing for the other drivers on the road.

Hard disagree. I’ve done 20-24 hour shifts at my job in my 30s, when in my younger days, more than 10 hours was really pushing it.

Can’t do it anymore. My body fails just missing one night’s sleep. Next day I’m practically a zombie with jet lag. Not worth it anymore.

I literally thought I was going to die… I got absorbed into a project and was up until 6am, figured I’d give myself like 3 hours to nap and not waste the day and I swear i was having panic attacks all day, my brain and heart were losing it… Never again
