Why was James cropped off? He makes so much more of these as well! https://www.jamesfridman.com/
People with money don’t buy the expensive flashy things. That’s why they still have money. Buffet drives a ten year old car.
There is a nugget of truth to it but it’s more of a middle upper class thing where the blokes who show money aren’t necessarily the ones who have money.
All good lies have bits of truth in them. All of these very public rich people have PR firms behind them designing their image.
How is it propaganda? What’s the mental process it’s trying to induce?
I wish people would stop spouting this nonsense. In my country, rich people are very flashy, whether they are “old money” or “new money.” Other countries may be different. Not every rich person is exactly the same (though being rich is unethical, so they are all the same in that regard).
I don’t think being rich itself is unethical. Unethical is what you do with what you have. And, I prefer everyone to be rich than everyone to be poor. That would now make everyone unethical?

if everybody were rich, that would cause inflation, and then consumables would be just as out of reach as they already are

Isn’t that the joke? Get that mar a Lago face so your husband looks richer?

The cute girl on the left is not the kind of girl you end up with when you have money, you end up with the one on the right

1 dayRich people are often obsessed with status and appearance. Having a magazine model for a partner is “positive” for that status and appearance.
If you wear makeup on a walk in the park then chances are you spend more money on your appearance in general
Sure. I am attracted to “classically beautiful” women. That doesn’t mean my heart is cold to anyone I form a bond with. I’m deeply committed to my personal journey through this life, but I’d never say no to a solid companion.
Idk I guess? I think the joke girl is more attractive than the original girl.
Yeah, a reaction doesn’t have to be an approval of something. Satire exists, malicious complaince exits, parody exists, and in more serious situations, silence or compliance can absolutely be resentful or malicious.
Obviously none of us know the motive of the editor, not exactly at least. I actually imagined it to be a critique (intentional or not), that money can actually bring vain people into your life. It does act as a nice rebuke of the person’s request, changing them to fit the role, instead of their partner.

The guy changed too. It looks like the slop engine put a touch of Mr. Beast on his face.
