After a late life diagnosis, I’ve determined that this is just who I am and I’m just going to keep going in the raw. I’ve made it this far. Some thing might not get done…

If you’re very skeptical about medication then that’s the best way to take it imo. I was really skeptical about it and never wanted to rely on it. Now I’m on it I only take it when I need it, which is just at work mostly. Any holiday I take I’m off it, any day I don’t feel I need it at work I don’t take it.
So I never need to increase the dose really, it’s really manageable and just a good perk to have. Respect not taking it, but the worst thing I believe you can do is take it constantly and slowly get to the highest dose and can’t live without it.

I’ve been on meds for six months and all that’s happened is my sleeps gotten fucked up. Someone told me this right after I started to suspect I had ADHD, the best thing you can do is sleep and get exercise. That’s been the best thing I’ve done.

What’s your subjective opinion on working out in the morning before your day job? Energizes you or slows you down?

I have a kid so I’m limited as to when I work out. I normally do it in the evening as a way of burning off excess energy, around 7 or 8 pm. I find it makes me mentally somewhat sleepy, though on the days I’ve had to get and do something hard in the morning I do find myself quite awake so I do toy with the idea of trying working out in the morning.

See I have an opposite problem, if I workout at night my brain ends up activated and on for extra hours more than it exhausts me.
Thanks.

It’s a good way to guarantee that your day can’t get any fucking worse.

My old trick was that I hated myself so I would make myself do things I didn’t like doing (like the dishes) to spite myself.
