edit: 3 pissy shit libs

Always with the imaginary libs, when the very blatant and overtly rapey regressivea are right there in government.

8 hoursUh…
Neoliberals are not what you think they are. Indeed the word “liberal” in general means one thing in the USA and almost its exact opposite in the rest of the world.
Neoliberalism is what an American would call libertarianism. Or what a sane person calls protofascism.
TacoButtPlug@sh.itjust.worksEnglish
8 hoursyup and if you check watabe’s history you’ll see they are 100% proto the whole way.

arizona was always republican before. if anything its people like you that ruined it.

1 dayGood Lord that was difficult to read.
Heartbreaking.
Women deserve better.

It’s an undeveloping nation with a uncivilising society. If I ever visit, I want to be picked up from the airport by Snake Plissken.

1 dayAmericans always rush to blame the victim.
They don’t give a damn about prisoners or gitmo.

When you start looking at women as just objects that produce babies, then the laws being suggested in the US make a lot more sense.
The current politicians don’t have enough empathy to consider women as people.

This is literally not true. Men tend to have much better parental divorce custody rights in blue states, as one example. It turns out the evil of the patriarchy harms everyone, and unity is the most successful path forward for everyone. Especially children. Also enforcing a two-gender dichotomy harms those who aren’t sure or don’t really see the need to pick a team in the oppression Olympics.
ZDL@lazysoci.alEnglish
1 dayAnd hilariously, you stating the truth got some Redcap upset and downvoting you.
Hey, Redcap, downvote me now! Invite all your friends to downvote me too! Being downvoted by Powries or Dunters doesn’t bother me in the slightest; it’s a badge of honour.
ZDL@lazysoci.alEnglish
1 dayThe most pathetic ones are those that hide behind fantasy Internet points. “I DOWNVOTED! THAT’LL SHOW THE BITCH!”
Like … dudes. Have some self-respect! 🤣

24 hoursLo and behold there was a man who didn’t like your comment 🤭

1 dayDon’t let it bother you, a lot of people don’t like my opinion or my facts.
I got used to it. I see a LOT more of this the closer we get to an election. A.I. and troll farms and bots…Ooh MY!
We’re not in Kansas anymore.
TrickDacy@lemmy.worldEnglish
1 dayI’ve got bots following me around downvoting most things I write. Some people are very strange. Imagine setting up and checking in on your downvote bots. It’s pathetic.
SeeMarkFly@lemmy.mlEnglish
5 hoursBut what if someone was paying you to downvote certain keywords?
Money changes everything.

I’d start my guesses from the usual suspects: Scandinavia, maybe Netherlands or other parts of Europe.
Not perfect but getting better.

I would hope I could answer “some parts of Canada”, but no. We do the talky thing of saying we protect women’s rights, but we keep seeing unabashed public display of misogyny.
- deft@lemmy.wtfEnglish17 hours
I think the answer is unfortunately just some people don’t suck and even then some of them screw up, are imperfect or learned how to not suck the hard way, by sucking at some point and learning.
ZDL@lazysoci.alEnglish
1 dayYeah, there’s no place that has it right, but there are some that are less wrong than others.
And in the western world none of those is the USA.
ZDL@lazysoci.alEnglish
1 dayThe response from Hamadeh’s camp is chillingly perfect. It’s laser-cut to perfection to read however the reader wants to read it.
I have read the disturbing story and call upon authorities to investigate these serious allegations thoroughly…
It goes on to talk about camera footage and prosecuting to the full extent and such, but the work has already been done.
To someone who believes Greene-Placentia it reads like a condemnation and a call to prosecute. To someone who doesn’t believe her it sounds like, because of the heavy lifting “serious allegations” is doing, he’s saying “IF it happened, guys, amirite?”. Think I’m reading to much into this? How does “read the disturbing story” weigh on you?
However much he pays his PR flaks it’s not enough. They’re doing incredibly high quality work. Pity they’re using their talents for evil.

Faster, actually. All the fans cooling the datacenters are providing additional downwards thrust.
