Reading between the lines, you’re 100% correct
The guy recorded a pledge to ISIS and sent it to the confidential informant, so he was really sending his pledge to the FBI and the FBI alone
Then they talk about how they arranged the weapons and sold it to him
The FBI created a terrorist then caught him. His religion, country of origin, and location were not a coincidence
On one hand, I’m glad a potential terrorist is off the streets, on the other hand, there are so many people vulnerable to grooming like that

Disagree. The guy of his own volition made a video swearing loyalty to ISIS and said he wanted to travel to the Middle East for training to become a terrorist. What the hell are you supposed to do with that? Just smile and nod and wish him luck? Write him off like ‘posting videos isnt criminal no threat to society here’? Give me a break.
They did exactly what they should have done here. They kept in contact, evaluated the threat, gave him a chance to prove he was a real threat, and when he did actually commit a crime they took him down. Now he will be in jail where he can’t hurt anyone.
beginning in or about December 2024, Mohamud exchanged hundreds of messages through multiple social media and messaging applications with a confidential source.
I like the part in the thumbnail of the chat where he’s telling them that he made the video.
To me I read this as if the confidential source told him to make the video to prove he was serious and provide the video to them. Which to me is exactly the sort of thing the FBI would do when they want to orchestrate evidence to push the case they’re building.
If I’m right, the only terrorist they stopped is one of their own making. This feels like those videos of people entrapping pedophiles.
Of course neither you or I can prove one way or another with the current information, which to me seems by design. You can prove he made a video. You can’t prove he did it of his own volition.
Is he mentally unwell? Possibly. He could be some stupid 18 yr old edge lord. Or he could really wanna do what he was plotting. But you’ll never be able to determine it 100% without seeing to what extent the FBI communicated with him.

You can’t prove he did it of his own volition.
Unprompted I can’t prove. But nobody held a gun to his head and ordered him to make the video. Nobody ordered him to say he wanted to kill innocents.
Maybe he’s just a moron. I can’t prove that either way. But the FBI can prove he was moronic enough to think that shooting up a mall is a great idea. Are you saying we should let him go?

And won’t that be presented in court?
Nobody ordered him to say he wanted to kill innocents
Other than the agent grooming him, you know, the one he sent the video to.

Hey, they orchestrated an attack, found a kid, talked him into it, gave him all the plans and supplies then arrested him. Way to go…

His pledge of allegiance to ISIS was sent to the informant (FBI agent), and the FBI was the ones that arranged for all the weapons
It definitely sounds like the FBI groomed a terrorist, planned the attack, then provided him weapons. Gives them a great win just before the election, with all the demographics they wanted

This isn’t an article. It’s a DOJ press release. I now have a collection of facts whose veracity I doubt, because the DOJ under the current administration has shown a willingness to lie brazenly to advance its agenda.
Funnily enough, that’s what those guys who tried to kidnap the governer of Michigan said too.
What do you mean don’t sell assault rifles to teens? How else would the FBI generate public animosity against their political enemiy du jour without selling high powered weaponry to them and saying “Go, do crime.”?

4 daysThey did it to a kid in Vegas if memory is correct. Essentially talked him into taking a gun then called him a terrorist.
It’s pretty sad that we don’t see coverage of domestic terrorists except when they cover ICE.

They did it to a kid in Florida with weed. Undercover cop flirted with a teenager, he fell for her, she asked him for weed, he had no idea how to get weed, she keeps bugging him until he finds her a joint or something and she insists on paying even though he just did it cause he liked her. Then he got busted for felony drug dealing.

I wasn’t aware that ISIS is also known as such, thank you. I learned something new.

We’ve seen the headlines hundreds of times: “ISIS plot foiled”, “ISIS in Brooklyn”, “Woman Stopped At Airport on way to join ISIS”. These stories strike fear into the hearts of Americans everywhere, especially in the build up to the war effort against ISIS in Summer 2014.
The terror group was everywhere, recruiting our teenagers and attempting to strike in every major city––seemingly all at once. But what do these headlines mean exact? What is an “ISIS plot”? What is the gap between the image the media provides versus the reality of what’s occurring?
On this week’s episode we dive into the 17 year-long phenomenon of the US media assisting the government’s war on terror by parroting dubious claims of al Qaeda and ISIS plots when the vast majority of the time––no al Qaeda or ISIS are involved.
With guest Pardiss Kebriaei, Senior Staff Attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights.

But a lot of “basic” rifles offer pistol grips. Even hunting rifles and some shotguns.

Oh, you’re just pretending to be dumb, well trolled! Unrelated, but in my next TTRPG campaign, I’m thinking of playing a silly Big-dumb-Ogre that’s a Ser Dunk the Tall type, any tips?
