he’s a vocal christian, which usually annoys me because of the inherent hypocrisy, but dude genuinely seems to walk the walk, and I respect that.

I assume it is because the show is too popular. Amazon makes more from show viewers than they lose to upset Trump fans.
Also, they have started a spin-off series, Neagle. Maybe it is a ploy to reduce the role of Ritchson in the franchise, though I assume it is to reduce the royalties they pay to the book author. I noticed that the opening credits to Neagle do not mention the author, probably because it is not based on any of the books, just a character from the book universe.

I like him as Reacher. I thought they miscast Tom Cruise in the Reacher movies but he did a good job. Alan Ritchson is the right size, as per the books. I saw him in another movie and I liked him in it as well because he was different than Reacher.

I think he’s a petty good actor, a very good Reacher (initially had my doubts), and it’ll be interesting to see it he’s always typecast or if he’s able to diversify roles.
BTW, Play Date was a petty funny comedy with him and Kevin James.
I just watched playdate with my nephew. Silly stupid comedy I thought was fine. Hes definitely being cast as big jacked action guy rn.
