    IMHO there’s no reason any foreign company should own any land.

    China has a good model. If you are a foreign company and you want to do business in China, you need to find a local partner. This ensures that at least some of the profits stay within China and the nation is not simply extracted for foreign benefit.

    This guy seems to want to open the fire hose of extraction. I don’t blame these people for protesting. They have the right idea.
