• I feel a great energy motivating me to look at some university/university level courses. 😊 To do social things. To start up all the projects I have planned.

But I need to rest and get my grounding first. I haven’t even unpacked and I still have to look after stressed out Bill

    • I reckon you’d enjoy uni, you have a great mind for it imo I’m so excited for you to try all the things!

But yes, definitely take some time for yourself before committing to anything; one thing I noticed when I got free is when I’d try to do too much I’d crash so hard, and I didn’t know why. I’d bawl my eyes out scream crying for no real reason (now I know I was triggered and hadn’t been diagnosed with anything but depression at that time). It can come whenever, wherever, so pace yourself. But you also know yourself better than I do, so do what you feel will help your healing the most :)

So take time to rest, ground yourself, self-care, and treat yourself to something you consider decadent or fancy. You deserve it after pulling out this Great Escape!

      • Thank you. 😊

        I love uni and studying.

I wanna do some classical archeology, I have a clinical psych unit I want to do, art work courses, some writing courses

I also need to get some certs for work but I’m old and don’t even know if it’s worth it. Will talk to a career recruiter to see what people want

        • Ive a friend I’m pretty sure is older than you working in palliative care support work. Being kind to people in their last days. It’s rough and rewarding work. But mostly she’s older than you, did certs, got work.

          • I was thinking a care support volunteer for veterans with ptsd

maybe I can work in the field instead?

            • I’ve got a few subjects left in my support worker course (NDIS/Aged) if you want to discuss it at all.

  • Boyo is watching some animated show that just sounds like punchline after punchline after punchline with hardly an actual joke in-between. But I’m not actually watching it, so maybe it’s better with the visuals.

  • Welcome to CORIANDER WORLD where all your dreams either come true or if genetically deficient taste like soap.

Think I’m going to let that go to seed. Basically a lifetime supply. Was only expecting a few to make it but here we are. Seems like people put the leaves in oil and freeze it so might give that a go too.

    • looks delicious

I use so much in cooking , in curries, in chutney, make kofte

    • Make pesto! This can use up massive quantities of coriander, plus the regular parmesan and olive oil & pine nuts. But it shelf stable so does not need to be frozen if carefully bottled and kept in a cool dark place. More intense flavour than a basil pesto.

    • I’m a bit jealous, I’ve never had much success with corriander. I am looking forward to when I have a permanent garden and can spend some time finding a spot it likes so I can leave it to self seed.

I often do the leaves in oil and freeze in an ice cube tray, it works well.

      • Likewise, I’m rubbish at coriander and basil. Many different houses and situations, just nope.

  • I think I’d like it of conversations with my manager were more him saying “I’m being asked questions about this/this is what the business is trying to achieve/this is what I need (or want) for an upcoming thing.”

Sort of like just teaching to the test. Who cares about all the “strategy” and “planning” stuff. Just let me know how I can help you look good so I can look good

  • I just received an exciting message from Google:

“Your photos just reached a new milestone. They’ve now been reacted to over 5 times”

Five whole reactions, can I call myself an influencer now?

      • These are photos for places on Google Maps. My most viewed has 63,335 views, which really makes me question why I’m getting emails congratulating me on photos that have only reached 5!

  • I dropped a new toilet roll into the toilet before I flushed. Summarises how my week has been.

  • Here’s a screenshot of my ride to work this morning, just a low res preview from the DJI app.

    Ride picture

The thing that gets me looking back on these videos is how quiet the video is. There’s a bit of road noise from the bike but that’s all. Most of the noise is from cars, and in quiet areas you can hear the birds.

The wide angle lense also makes any median strip of grass between the footpath and the road look like I’m far away from traffic. It makes any boring part of suburbia look like one cycling utopia

    • I love how quiet the DJI makes riding sound… except when you can hear my heavy breathing as I’m going up the slightest incline 😆

      • I’m using wireless mics in stereo. I put them on my helmet straps near my ears so you can hear it even more

  • I have 1 kg of prawns to peel. YL freaks out over the eyes. I threaten to leave them on her pillow. It’s all in fun.

  • struggling with all the sads for no good reason except waves hands around. put washing on…then work out what’s next.

  • I continue wheezing and hacking up phlegm.

I’m this close to pulling out of house-hunting this weekend

  • Tired. Wrecked even.

I miss Ted’s stupid little purr/meow in the mornings

Love you all, thank you all so much support

I’m going to bed again for some more sleep
