In the 90’s a friend of mines dad had several sat dishes in his yard. He had some freaky recording of Jim and Tammy doing some very unchristian things. The cameras were on almost all the time sending out over the KU band. I remember one where Tammy was rubbing on this weight lifter for jesus guy and Jim just standing there laughing.

It is what it is. They were all oversexed on there. The KU band back then didn’t get a lot notice. Baker and the rest of his grifter group were always talking trash on there.
The KU band feed were used by many more legitimate tv stations and other grifters like baker. The camera feeds were often left on with open mics.
When the first gulf war hit there was this reporter over there and he was terrified. The second they put him on the air he was calm as a rock with his report. The second he was off the CNN main feed he would just fall apart. Eventually after a few years they started scrambling all their KU feeds. For a while though you would see some really questionable stuff from all those on air personalities.

It wasn’t like it is now. There was no internet to speak of. It was there but there were very few of us. Even if you tried to break the story it would have probably went nowhere. It wasn’t just trash like baker on the feeds. There were a hundred feeds of all sort of things. Sports, home shopping and just about every news organization out there.

Guy who had all the dishes was a huge nerd. He recorded a bunch of that weirdness but I doubt any of it survived his passing. He recorded most of it on betamax. So even if I had that tape I would have a hard time playing it back.

Blame the so-called Puritans who smeared BetaMax for its leniency on “pornagraphic material” (which included non-porn media they were against), thus clearing the way for the inferior VHS brand to claim the market, uncontested. Religion strikes again. 🙄
